Anuphup Loyfar studied architecture and furniture before working as a jewelry designer for a French-Thai company for 10 years. When he decided to open his own business, he combined this experience to create handcrafted decorative and functional pewter items for the home. His interest in pewter developed when he was designing jewelry and he noticed a gap in the local market. Pewter is a malleable alloy made up of tin, copper and silver and its' use dates back to the time of the Egyptians. Loyfar started his business 10 years ago and has developed an impressive and elegant range including tabletop pieces, vases, trays and gift items with a contemporary but classic design sense. He noticed that his items are getting smaller and smaller, like his vast array of charm-adorned key chains. Perhaps he'll be creating jewelry again soon.
The coral collection takes it’s inspiration from the ocean. Pewter is a malleable alloy made up of tin, copper and silver and forms the base structure of this collection. Webs of coral are welded together by hand and molded into shape. Decorative fish are added to the outer layer for a finishing touch. Also made of pewter, they are finished with enamel resin, similar to the type used in jewelry, to add vibrant bursts of color to each piece.
